What is Glass Ceiling?
Turkish: Cam Tavan
The glass ceiling is a concept that refers to the invisible barriers that prevent women and minority groups from rising to senior management positions. These barriers, which limit equal opportunity in the business world, generally stem from unconscious bias, corporate culture and systemic discrimination. To reduce the glass ceiling effect, HR management should develop policies that promote diversity and inclusion, organize leadership programs and establish objective promotion criteria.
