What is Sick Leave?

Sick leave is a type of leave used when employees cannot come to work because of health problems. Under Turkish Labor Law, employees are entitled to paid or unpaid sick leave for a certain period. The length of sick leave may vary depending on the employee's employment contract, seniority and medical report. Employers should apply a fair and transparent leave management policy that takes employees' health into account.
